June 28th, 2020 - 4th Sunday after Pentecost : God has a Word for God's people, how do we perceive it?

Prelude: Tambling: Reverie

Greeting and Pastoral Prayer

Welcoming Lord, You have often come into our lives with refreshing waters of grace for our journey of life. We rejoice that You are ever mindful of our needs, before we even pray or ask. Send forth Your Holy Spirit to renew our souls like a cold, clear glass of water that quenches our thirst on a dry, and weary day. During this time of worship, center our hearts, our souls, and our minds on Your Presence with us as we lift to you the prayers of our hearts. We know You promise to hear our prayers, always, and in confidence,

We come to pray for: Our Church, for it's leaders and congregation Our world and our country our loved ones - keep them: keep them in health, in safety, in comfort, in Your care Keep us, also and send forth Your Holy Spirit of truth, of comfort, and of power for any among us who feel constrained, or emotionally distressed by our time and era for any who need to know Your love for them in this hurting world.

We also lift to You those who need comfort as they mourn their loved ones. Jesus promised to send the Holy Spirit, The comforter, who would remind us of Your promises that Nothing in life, or in Death, things present, nor things to come, nor angel or demons within our lives, nor anything in all of creation will ever be able to separate us from Your love in Jesus the Christ, our Lord.

Unison Prayer:

God of our lives, we desire peace and safety within our lives, that is our prayer. We praise You for the promises that You are with us even when our lives reflect discord and sorrow. Open our eyes to know that You are guiding us, and that You are leading us with Your love. Teach us how to share the spiritual and tangible refreshing water that You provide for us and for others. Help us understand when we share our waters with others, our souls are refreshed. Grant us knowledge of Your ways, and Your blessings that fall upon us. Enliven our hearts, our souls, and our minds to seek Your refreshing waters that relieve our thirst in this struggling world. Send Your Holy Spirit to remind us of Your ways and Your Word to encourage us in this broken world we live in.
